Comprehensive Eye Exams
Your eye exam will include a refraction to determine if you need glasses and your spectacle prescription as well as a comprehensive evaluation of the health of your eyes, which usually includes dilation. The doctor will check for cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and other eye diseases and conditions. Medications will be prescribed if indicated.
Contact Lens Exams
A contact lens exam includes the comprehensive exam as well as your contact lens fitting and follow-ups, if needed. There are many soft contacts on the market and the doctor will choose the type and brand that is best suited to your needs. Some patients will need to wear trials of a new brand for a couple of weeks and return to the office for an evaluation of the fit. This follow-up visit is included in the initial fee for your exam.
Post Op Care
We co-manage cataract patients with local ophthalmologists, referring you to a surgeon for cataract extraction and then providing your post op care after surgery.
Medical Office Visits
Our doctor also sees patients for medical office visits to evaluate and treat minor eye injuries, conjunctivitis ("pink eye"), and allergies.
